Remembering Princess Dianna

I still get sad when I reflect upon the horrible news of Dianna's death. She like countless others was taken before her time.I personally felt like I had lost a friend and found it hard to comprehend that our princess had died.
Today would have been Princess Diana's 50th birthday. Regarded as the people's princess, she was a role model, activist, and a style icon. From her wedding gown to her little black dresses, her style continues to inspire fashionistas today.

1. There is nothing more stylish than a knee high boot. I live in mine and I love wearing them with skirts, dresses and skinny jeans. Definitely a winter wardrobe essential.

2. A sea of black is all I see walking around town which can be quite depressing on a cold, wet and dreary day. Get yourself an overcoat in a colour other than black. My bright red coat always gives me a great pick up because colour makes me feel alive.

3. A funky necklace will shout out over neutral or dark outfits, making your look interesting and memorable. A coloured scarf will also do the trick and is a must for every winter wardrobe.

4. I love a wrap dress, so you will often see me opt for one over jeans whilst dining out with hubby and friends. They look good with my boots too!

5. Hats!! If you have not experimented this season already, please do. A cute beret or felt hat will scream I’ve got style all the way to Spring. They are not for the faint hearted or girls who hate hat hair but my outfit feels complete when adorned with the red beret that goes with my red coat and handbag.

What are you pick me up favorites winter garments?

Personality Style.....the missing link.

What is the missing link between who we are as a person and the clothes we wear on a daily basis? Why is there a disconnection between your personality and your wardrobe?
I know some pretty amazing, fun, strong and interesting women, but their clothes do not at all portray their personality.
My quest is to help you reflect who you are from the inside out. Creating compatibility between who you are and the outfits you choose to wear on a daily basis will allow the world to see YOU!

Your clothes speak…...what message are they sending?
Think about some of the items in your wardrobe. What is it about those items you love or are attracted to?
Try this quick and easy way to help you find your style formula so that when you are out shopping and everything is screaming “buy me”, you will be able to narrow your choices down by choosing garments that represent those six simple words. Then, what you end up taking home will fit in nicely with your style words….. It is then you will have success!!
Take this necklace (above)for example, my six words:
1 Statement
2 Interesting
3 Bold
4 Colourful
5 Contrast
6 Smooth
I love this necklace because it is colourful. It boldly makes a statement yet it has a smooth surface. Also this piece creates a medium contrast and with the crackle through the turquoise stone it certainly makes it very interesting and not boring!
I am always looking for items that identify who I am because it makes shopping so much easier and definitely more enjoyable.
Why don’t you go have a look in your wardrobe now and start on your own style formula. Soon enough your clothes will become more compatible with who you are.
I dare you to allow your clothes to reveal the real you!
